Navigator Partners, LLC., (Navigator) principals have extensive private equity fund management experience.

Navigator focuses on businesses with annual revenues approaching $10MM to over $200MM. Ideal companies have prior year EBITDA approaching at least $2MM, though entities with lower Revenue and EBITDA levels are selectively considered for investment. Navigator's Principals have extensive experience investing in franchisors. The firm will consider investments in franchisors at much earlier stages of development.

Broad Experience Base

The Principals of Navigator have more than 75years of experience in private equity investments, strategic investments and operations. They have collectively completed over 50 private equity investments and have worked together for many years advising and investing in a wide range of businesses.


Navigator invests across a diversified range of industries with a focus on manufacturers and marketers of consumer and healthcare products, providers of consumer and business services, franchisors, healthcare service providers, select industrial products, and media companies.

Target Investment Criteria Include

  • Companies with gross annual revenues approaching $10 million to over $200 million or prior year EBITDA greater than $1MM;
  • Profitable private companies and companies positioned for significant growth;
  • Management with proven performance records;
  • Businesses with established or proprietary product lines; and
  • Companies with underdeveloped domestic or international potential.

Navigator does not invest in start-up, early-stage, or turnaround situations.

The Capital Is Typically Used For

  • Acquisition of all, or a substantial majority, of businesses from existing owner(s);
  • Strategic acquisitions to consolidate an industry; and/or
  • Growth capital for successful businesses.

Typical Transaction Structure

  • Existing owner(s) may retain a portion of the equity;
  • Management team has equity to align interests with other shareholders and reward success;
  • Execute long-term growth strategy; and
  • Exit after several years; we are long-term investors with no exit pressure.

Investment Philosophy

Navigator's investment approach emphasizes operational soundness, the potential for significantly greater performance through improved operating efficiencies and/or top-line growth and clear down-the-road exit strategies. A desirable prospective investment will be a profitable, private company whose owner(s) desire full or partial liquidity. While ideal candidates have solid growth records, businesses positioned for rejuvenation through better strategic direction and experienced leadership are also desirable. In many cases, a company will serve as the platform or cornerstone for the acquisition of related businesses and the ultimate creation of a much larger entity with significantly enhanced exit opportunities.

Navigator will always invest in partnership with each company's operating management in a relationship based upon genuine agreement on the pursuit of common goals and the creation of long-term value. Navigator sponsors each investment by organizing, structuring and leading all aspects of the transaction; thereby enabling the management team to concentrate on operations while also enjoying a significant equity stake. We encourage continued executive and equity participation by the owners of the businesses we invest in and structure equity ownership and incentive plans that reward growth and profitability.
